MND Released a Press to Explain the Media Coverage of ‘‘Legislator Tipped off that a Manufacturer was Suspected to Violate and Leak about the Construction in the Xiahu Barrack of MND’’

Regarding the Media Coverage of "Legislator Tipped off that a Manufacturer was Suspected to Violate and Leak about the Construction in Xiahu Barrack of MDN," the MND stated today (Nov. 6) that the "Unified Contracting Project of New Construction in the Xiahu East Barrack" of Navy was reported as completed on July 8, 2024, and that the manufacturer was asked to rectify deficiencies found in the preliminary acceptance according to contract before the deadline of November 11. The Armaments Bureau plans to involve relevant personnel from the Construction and Engineering Office and conduct a reinspection on November 18 with the Engineering Center to ensure that the quality of military projects is secured.
Additionally, the MND has instructed the Government Ethics Office to investigate the suspected leak of interpellation content. The MND will adhere to the principle of "law-based administration, without injustice nor connivance." If any illegal fact is found, appropriate legal action will be taken without tolerance for wrongdoing.
