The Ministry of National Defense stated today (23rd) that as vessel formation of Liaoning aircraft carrier fleet of PLA sailed northbound from the waters near Tungsha Island (Pratas Islands) via the Taiwan Strait yesterday night. In coping with it, the Armed Forces had adopted joint intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance system to closely monitor the situation so as to provide appropriate vigilance and response.
